Methodology for calculating the need in the materials
The portal "Investment Projects of the Russian Federation" contains information about 26,000 projects at the active stage of implementation. These projects are the basis for calculating the forecast needs in building materials. To calculate the need for building materials each the investment project is registered as a construction object. The method of calculating the consumption of materials compiled by professional engineers designers with many years of experience.

Each project is assigned a type of construction object (for example, a factory for the production of doors, non-ferrous casting metallurgical plant, federal highway, residential complex of 25 floors, etc.).

The amount of investment in the project is the basis for calculating total costs on construction/reconstruction of facilities.

For each type of construction object, a cost estimate of construction materials. Material consumption is taken into account both in physical terms and in value.

To determine the cost expression, the expense in physical terms is multiplied by the average the cost of the material. At the same time, the prices for materials are given for the current year. Prices future periods are adjusted with the help of calculated coefficients (industry-specific deflator indexes, developed by Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation).

The period of use of each building material is determined on the basis of stages implementations project (pre-design studies, construction at the zero stage, construction at the stage finishing, etc.), and also the year of completion of the project. In the result, distribution the needs for each material are spread out by years based on the stages of construction and logic applications of each material.
