In the industrial zone of the Ural Federal District, a large investor company is constructing an electrometallurgical plant for the production of long products. On the territory of the enterprise it is planned to build two main and a number of auxiliary workshops and departments. The production of low-grade rolled products and wire rods from low-carbon, high-quality and alloyed steel grades will be carried out by the electric steel-smelting method based on ferrous metal scrap (i.e. from secondary raw materials). Equipment will be installed at the plant with a high degree of environmental protection. It is planned to install a modern system of gas treatment facilities, the total efficiency of which will be 99.4%. As of April 2012, 80% of the installation of metal structures of the main buildings was completed, the hulls are being trimmed. All the main equipment (electric furnace, out-of-furnace processing units, continuous steel casting machine, rolling mill, etc.) is in the warehouse of the enterprise.
